LEGO Library Challenge

Join The Great Mid York LEGO Library Challenge! Choose a category and an age group, build a replica, take a picture, submit your entry, and vote next month for the best builds in the library system!

Age Groups:

Family

This group can be a combination of children and adults or a group of children ages 12 and under.

Teens

This group is for youth ages 12 to 18 only. Teams can consists of single members or groups.

Adult

This group is for adults over the age of 18. Teams can consist of single members or groups.

Categories:

Library Exterior

This is the outside of the library building. You can include the basic structure and any landscaping or special features. Replicas can be no taller than 10 inches and must fit on a standard 32x32 baseplate.

Library Room or Spaces

This can be any specific room or space inside the library. You can include furniture, shelving, and any other decorations. You will need to include a photo of the space you chose with your submission. Replicas can be no taller than 10 inches and must fit on a standard 32x32 baseplate.

Favorite Book, Bookish Space, or Book Character

Recreate a scene from or the cover of your favorite book, build a book character, or design your dream reading space. The title of the book you choose must be included with your submission. All replicas can be no taller than 10 inches and must fit on a standard 32x32 baseplate.

Submissions are limited to one per person and group. If you are part of one group, you may not submit an entry in another group. If you submit an entry individually, you may not join another group. Submissions are limited to one library per person and group. If you submit a project at one library, you may not submit an entry at another library. You are welcome to join building events at different libraries, but you can only submit ONE entry. Additional entries will be automatically disqualified. Anyone found repeatedly attempting to submit multiple entries will have their participation privileges revoked. Participants are responsible for taking their own photos. If you are unable to upload your photos in the submission form, please contact your library for assistance. All submissions must be received by April 30, 2025. Submissions received after that date will not be accepted.
