Elizabeth (Beth) Adams is an artist, writer, editor, and publisher. She grew up in
Sherburne, New York, received her B.A. from Cornell University in 1974 and worked
in the summers and after graduation at the Rogers Environmental Education Center
as a naturalist, artist, and exhibit designer. She spent 35 years in Vermont as a graphic
designer and communications specialist before moving to Montreal in 2005 and
becoming a dual Canadian-American citizen. She and her husband, the photogra?
pher Jonathan Sa’adah, now spends time at the family home in Hamilton, NY.
Her biography of Bishop Gene Robinson, Going to Heaven, was published in 2006,
and her essays have appeared in many publications. She has illustrated, edited, and
designed numerous books, and her artwork is in private collections worldwide. She
was a founder/co-managing editor of the e-zine qarrtsiluni, and is the founder/
editor of the independent press Phoenicia Publishing in Montreal. Since 2003, she
has written a blog, “The Cassandra Pages”, which is about the arts, books, nature,
and the human spirit. She has always wanted to write and illustrate a book about
Chenango and Madison Counties, which she considers to be one of the most
beautiful landscapes anywhere, and where the people and the place were central
to the development of her life, work, and values - Snowy Fields is that book.

If traveling from the south (Norwich, Sherburne), take 12B north into Hamilton. At the third light, take a right and another immediate right - the Library is the second brick building on your left (sign out front). If traveling from the north, (Oneida) via Route 46 and 12B - arrive in Hamilton and there is a traffic light as you reach the business section. The village green is just ahead, and the Library is located on the east side of the green. Limited parking on the street, municipal parking lot behind the library. Use Payne St. for parking lot.
